How the MCW Young Leaders Scholarship Program Works
The MCW Young Leaders Scholarship is a dynamic program that takes place in several phases:
Month-long Virtual Assessment: The journey begins with community mapping and needs assessment. Participants will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to effectively evaluate their communities.
In person in the US (10 days): Young leaders will travel to the United States for 10 days in July 2024. Each participant will bring a problem from their community that they aim to solve.
Virtual Project Implementation: Upon return from the US, participants will apply and implement their ideas in their respective communities.

The 2024 Young Leaders Fellowship will be held in New York, New York and Burlington, Vermont, July 9-18, 2024.
Financial benefits
The MCW Young Leaders Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support to international participants:
- Airline tickets in international economy class for international participants.
- Domestic flights in economy class for participants from the United States.

Eligibility Criteria
The MCW Young Leaders Fellowship welcomes young leaders from around the world and from different disciplines, disciplines or backgrounds. To be eligible, candidates must:
- Identify an issue related to education, health or economic security in your community.
- Be between 18 and 26 years of age at the start of the program (1 June 2024).
- Be eligible to obtain appropriate visas and travel documents.

- December 4, 2023: First round decisions submitted. Shortlisted candidates are notified; The application for the second round is open.
