Boise State University scholarships are available to outstanding international students who have demonstrated academic excellence and a strong commitment to college success. These scholarships cover the international portion of tuition fees for freshmen freshman or transfer to Boise State University.

To be eligible for the Foothills, Ridgeline, or Summit scholarships, you must be a freshman. Your eligibility will be assessed based on the documents you submit at the time of admission before the end of your scholarship period. A complete application includes an application for admission and a certificate.

Please note that certain majors such as Nursing, Pre-Nursing, Radiology, Pre-Radiation Science, Separate Fee Programs, Fully Online Programs, etc. are not eligible for these scholarships. However, this list of disallowed majors is subject to change over time.

To receive one of these scholarships, you must be enrolled as a full-time student. This means that you must complete at least 12 credits per semester (fall and spring). The scholarship covers non-resident fees, but you remain responsible for non-resident fees and the remainder of non-resident fees.

To maintain your scholarship, you must continue to enroll for at least 12 credits each semester and successfully complete a total of at least 24 credits during the academic year (fall and spring). It is important to note that course repetitions within the same academic year do not count towards the 24 credits required for scholarship renewal.

These scholarships are available to incoming freshmen with a bachelor’s degree and planning to study full-time at Boise State University. Transfer students must have a college GPA of 3.50-3.69 and freshmen must have a high school unweighted GPA of 3.50-3.69.

Ridgeline Scholarship advantage

The scholarship you receive is $8,000 per year for a total of four years. This means that you will receive this amount each year for the entire study period which is divided into 8 semesters. Therefore, you will receive a portion of your scholarship each semester to cover your training costs.
