Hallym University is a private university located in Chuncheon, South Korea. Founded in 1982, it has grown into a renowned institution known for its focus on teaching and research. Hallym University scholarship advantage

Hallym University offers scholarships to full-time students working as research fellows or teaching assistants. Tuition fees are 100% waived for these positions. H. Students do not have to pay tuition fees.

Humanities and Social Sciences students receive full tuition fee waivers when employed as teaching assistants or research assistants.

There are fixed tuition fees in the fields of natural sciences, sports, nursing sciences and engineering.

However, even if a student becomes a Teaching Assistant or Research Associate, she is 100% exempt from tuition fees and does not need to pay any tuition fees.

Similarly, medical students also have to pay certain tuition fees. However, tuition fees are exempted for faculty members and research assistants.

Full-time students who are not eligible for teaching or research assistant positions may apply for Scholarship A.

To be eligible, she must have submitted a certificate of unemployment and from her most recent degree she must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.5 scale.

In addition, students employed by affiliated institutions of the Nisjo Education Foundation can apply for a cooperative scholarship that reduces tuition by 50%.

Simplified Admission Criteria:

For foreign candidates to be eligible:

One or both parents must be of foreign nationality. Must have completed full education (primary, secondary, high school) in Korea or outside of Korea. (Exception: Korean dual nationals are not considered foreigners.)

SPECIFIC CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS TO MASTER/MA and Ph.D. PROGRAMS:

Must have a bachelor’s degree. If you are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, you should be able to complete your bachelor’s degree by August 2023.

Individuals who have a bachelor’s degree or higher and are recognized by Korean law are also eligible to participate.

PhD Specific Criteria Program Applicants:

Must have a master’s degree. If you are currently pursuing a master’s degree, you must be on track to do so by August 2023. This applies to those who have obtained a master’s degree or higher in Korean law, or who are qualified.
